the wonderful wizard of LDN.
So at approximately (or rather exactly) 6am tomorrow morning I and all my fellow Castle dwellers will be loading busses to drive to Amsterdam to hop on planes to London. There we will party, learn, and explore for six days, at which point I will hop on a high speed (and highly expensive) train to Paris. I will enjoy all Paris has to offer for about three days, and then take an overnight train to Milan, Italy. Milan will hold my interest for about two days, and then it’s another overnight train back to school (for two days until I leave for Monaco, but that’s another story).
That said, I’m not sure whether I’ll have internet in our London hotel or not. Hopefully. If not, I’ll probably pop into an internet cafe once or twice to check in and see if anyone has e-mailed me (no one ever does, though). I know I’ll have wireless at my Paris hostel. I don’t think I’ll have any at my Milan hotel, but I’ll only be there for a night. Worst case scenario, there are internet cafes in Italy, too.
That said . . . I’ve packed way too much for the two-week trip. I need too many things to make do with ONLY my backpack. There’s no way I could; this is longer than my London trip. However, I don’t have another bag any smaller than my smallest rolley bag. And the trip will be different because I’ll be in three different cities doing some vastly different activities than simply exploring. Plus I’m taking food. So I’m overpacked. I’m just hoping other girls overpack even worse than me. That would make me feel better about myself.
I’ve discovered a link between homesickness and travel. The night before I travel, as I’m packing, I get HORRENDOUSLY homesick. Kristen said the same thing. I think because despite my packing, home is not on my list of places I’m going. Eventually, though!
Anyways, all this is to say, I don’t know if/when I’ll be able to get online. If I have wireless at hotels, I’ll try and blog/post picturse as I go. Chances are I’m only going to be able to get online via internet cafes, which means maybe a handful of times over the next couple weeks. However, if you’d like to brighten my day, send me some e-mail love to find when I do get online!
That said, here are a few pictures of the banquet to welcome Jackiet Liebergott, the president of Emerson College, to Kasteel Well Tuesday night. Great fun was to be had by all, some more than others.

Eric, Jessye, and me. I jumped into this picture at the last minute, which is one of my favorite hobbies.

Bridget snapped this of me. Do I look classy?

Again, I jumped in, haha. Me, my darling Amanda, and my beloved David. Notice that we not only have different hair colors, but textures, too.

And my favorite photo of the evening. Sam asked me to dance, and who was I to say no? We had a mad time tearing up that dance floor. We were easily the best dancers of the evening. Eat that, DavidAmandaJessyeTori.
Now I have to be up in five hours to head off to the airport. I don’t think anyone in the Castle is asleep yet. And you know what that means. 80 cranky-as-heck college kids tomorrow; yay!
